COMMERCIAL AVIATION ENGINE TRANSPORT STANDS

DAE manufactures a large variety of shock mounted engine transport stands to fit almost all engine types and airframes including regional aircraft. Our engine stands meet PW, GE, and RR specifications. DAE stands are bootstrap compliant. Engine types which fit multiple airframes DAE has designed their adapters to accommodate for multiple boot strap installations. DAE delivers each stand with a certificate of conformance ( C of C ).

DAE maintains both sales inventory and a leasing pool of engine transport stands. Leases are for a minimum 30 day period FOB Louisville. The lease starts when the stand is shipped and ends when it is received at DAEs facility

DAE maintains a spare parts inventory for all their manufactured stands and these can be purchased through our customer service department.

DAE has a refurbishment program which reworks stands back to original specifications.

DAE has a sophisticated machine shop which in most instances can manufacture parts for stands not manufactured by DAE.

COMMERCIAL AVIATION DOCKING SYSTEMS

DAE has worked with its worldwide customer base in providing a wide variety of docking systems for servicing an assortment of airframes. These docking systems by airframe and type of stand have a commonality of function. Each stand ends up with specific designs to meet customer specifications and preference so although common they are physically different.

The docking systems which DAE has designed are for both passenger (including regional) and cargo aircraft and both narrow and wide body aircraft. The majority of stands have been designed to accomplish various maintenance functions on the aircraft promoting ease of access, increased productivity and stressing employee safety.

The types of stands built by DAE includes narrow and wide body tail dicks, wing docks, fuselage, nose/windshield, over wheel strut stands, wheel well stands, cargo entry, main cargo deck and main cabin entry stands. These stands range from single height to five tier designs.

The designs of our stands fit the contour of the aircraft. In many cases sliders are utilized to adapt to the various contours. The stands have adjustable bases accomplished through utilizing a variety of different designs and systems which adapt to the work area of the airframe which is being serviced. The base if the stands promote the stabilization of the stands and enables the stand to adjust to variable heights..

The stands are customized to meet our customer’s needs and desires. DAE offers options to include installation to provide; pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical outlets, lighting and or vacuum accessibility.

At DAE we create an engineering concept for a docking systems for our customers. The model once accepted by the customer enters a design stage and production drawings are developed. The drawings are submitted to our customer for their approval and acceptance. Once approved the material is ordered , the stands are inducted into the production cycle along with the drawings . The docking systems are fabricated in the DAE shops and undergo ongoing quality inspections during the process. The docking system upon completion is assembled at the DAE facility. Customers are welcome to visit our facility to review the docking system. After review by the customer the stands are dismantled and routed to the paint shop. Once the painting is complete the docking system goes through a final inspection and when completed is then released for shipping.

DAE stands are unique as these stands are designed to be disassembled and relocated .

DAE provides a road crew which travels on site to the customer’s facility and assembles the stands. Upon completion of the assembly a fit check is performed with the docking system and the aircraft. Any defects or adjustments are corrected on site and the customer accepts the final delivery of the docking system.

Our road crew is also available to service stands on an ongoing basis including relocation.

Customers are encouraged to provide DAE with a paint scheme preference. DAE has a standard paint scheme which utilizes a skydrol resistant paint. This paint helps to prevent this chemical from damaging the surface of the docking system.

The decking used on the docking systems promotes both employee and fire safety.
